About Us
Our Purpose
Yadeni is a Turrbal word that means “to advance.” Yadeni Consulting is a 100% Aboriginal-owned business, dedicated to fostering cultural understanding. We collaborate with Corporate, Government, and Not-for-Profit organisations to enable meaningful change.
Our Vision
A future where Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australia thrive in unity.
Our Values
Cultural Integrity
We honour and uphold the richness of First Nations cultures in all that we do. Our work is grounded in respect for traditional knowledge, protocols, and practices, ensuring authenticity and cultural safety in every engagement.
Courageous Leadership
We lead with courage, challenging the status quo to inspire meaningful change. We’re not afraid to have the tough conversations needed to advance reconciliation, promote equity, and foster transformative growth.
Collaborative Impact
We believe that lasting change is achieved through genuine partnerships. By working alongside communities, clients, and stakeholders, we create spaces for shared learning, mutual respect, and collective action.
Growth Through Understanding
We view cultural understanding as a lifelong journey. Through education, reflection, and open dialogue, we empower individuals and organisations to grow, adapt, and contribute to a more unified and inclusive future.
Our Founder & Director
Baringa Barambah Meeanjinu is a Turrbal and Gubbi Gubbi woman, with connection to Wakka Wakka, Kamilaroi and Birri Gubba Country. She grew up on her ancestral homelands of Meeanjin (Brisbane) learning the traditional laws and customs from her elders.
Driven by a commitment to enabling meaningful change and bridging cultural divides, Baringa founded Yadeni Consulting in 2024. One of the catalysts for starting this business was the misunderstanding and division she witnessed during the Voice to Parliament debate. This experience underscored the urgent need for deeper cultural understanding and inspired her to launch a business dedicated to fostering genuine connection and respect between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australia.
Prior to founding Yadeni Consulting, Baringa worked in a diverse range of finance, strategy and operations roles in Corporate, Government, and Not-for-Profit organisations to deliver projects across Australia, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. She holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics from the University of Queensland and is a member of Chartered Accountants ANZ. As a Chevening and Roberta Sykes Scholar, she completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) specialising in Culture & Arts Management and Social Innovation at the University of Cambridge.
